"Honor your father and your mother"

Dear Students,

This year's project focuses on the value "Honor your father and your mother" since we consider it as a supreme value.

The project  includes 3 parts.

PART 1: Understanding the meaning of the value.

PART 2: Conducting an interview.

PART 3: Making a movie based on the fifth commandment.

PART 1:

1. What does the fifth commandment mean?

Explain in your own words.

2. You are about to watch 3 movies. Watch them very carefully, choose one and relate to one of the following questions:

respect your mother

a letter from mom and dad

a. In what way does the movie reflects the fifth commandment?

b. Write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) in which you express the thoughts and feelings of the son/daughter.

UNIT 1

Dear students,

In this assignment we will relate to the issue of Feelings: Let's discuss some of them.

We've read about ANGER, THE WHO REPORT, we'll read about love and we'll continue discussing it further more.

Our first unit will be about Anger Management. I would like you to share some experience getting angry. The reason for being angry, the way you handled it, how you felt after being so angry, how you could avoid it and respond differently.

I expect to read a paragraph that includes 7 -10 lines (appx. 100 words).
